Why did Vanderbilt pay my taxes without my authorization when I am not escrowed for taxes?
Unless you have entered into a mortgage escrow agreement for the payment of property taxes, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to pay his/her taxes. However, Vanderbilt may do so on your behalf should taxes not be paid in accordance with the terms of your loan documents.
