Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance Introduces New Digital Tools

National home lender implements new ways to streamline the mortgage process.
MARYVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 29, 2015 – In an effort to make the mortgage process faster and easier for the consumer, Vanderbilt Mortgage, is announcing that it has rolled out new digital tools for consumers who are beginning their home financing journey.
These new tools include a quick and easy online credit application, the ability to eSign loan application documents online, and the ability to receive status notifications via email and text message. The new features provide added convenience for consumers by allowing them to complete and sign their credit applications and related documents online, while also providing the option to sign up for text or email alerts to track the progress of their application.
“There’s no denying that obtaining a mortgage is a process that involves a lot of steps,” Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance President Eric Hamilton said. “With our new digital capabilities, our customers have the option to streamline the application process.”
The online application gives customers the ability to apply for a mortgage from the comfort of their own home at their own convenience, regardless of the time of day.
The eSign feature gives consumers who are beginning the application process a way to sign their application and related documents from their own computer, tablet or smart phone. The benefits of eSign extend beyond just convenience to the customer. It also reduces paper waste, can speed up the process of buying a home and allows the lender to receive documents in a more accurate, timely and organized way.
Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance is also giving applicants the ability to opt into a text and/or email notification system. Vanderbilt will send a text or email to the customer notifying them of the progress of their application, reminding them of additional information needed to process their loan and providing an open line of communication during the home loan process.
“Adding these new online tools is going to make things easier for our customers,” Hamilton said. “In the end, it means an easier journey for the consumer, and they’ll be able to move into their new home more quickly.”
In addition to the online application, eSign and text/email notification capabilities, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance’s website has additional tools, such as the monthly payment calculator, that prospective homebuyers can use when preparing to make their home purchase.
